1. About these terms
These terms cover how you may use the portal. They sit alongside — and don’t replace — any separate written agreement, proposal or statement of work between you (or your organisation) and LBD Studio for the design services themselves. If there’s a conflict about the services, that separate agreement takes precedence.
2. The service
The portal lets us collaborate securely — for example, to request and receive files from you, deliver finished work, track project milestones, gather information through forms, and share brand guidelines. We may add, change or remove features over time.
3. Access and your account
- Sign-in is by personal, single-use link. We don’t use passwords — we email you a secure sign-in link. These links are personal to you. Don’t forward, share or post them — a shared link compromises the security of
your access. If you need to give a colleague access, use the “Add a colleague” option in the portal, or ask us. - You’re responsible for any activity that happens under your access. Tell us promptly at hello@lbd.studio if you think your email or access has been compromised.
- Access is granted for a specific project or client workspace, and only for the purpose of collaborating with us on it.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the portal for anything unlawful, or in breach of anyone’s rights;
- upload files that contain malware, or content that is illegal, infringing,
defamatory or that you don’t have the right to share; - attempt to gain unauthorised access to the portal, other users’ data, or
our systems, or to probe, scan or test their security; - interfere with or disrupt the portal, or use it to send spam; or
- use the portal or its contents for any purpose other than collaborating on the project without our prior written consent.
Some file types that can carry active content (for example, executables and certain web/script files) may be blocked for everyone’s safety.
5. Your content and intellectual property
- You keep ownership of the content you upload (your files, form responses and project information). You grant us the limited licence we need to host, store, process and display that content to provide the
service. - You confirm you have the right to upload what you upload, and that doing so doesn’t breach anyone’s rights or any obligation of confidence.
- The portal itself — its design, code and the LBD Studio name and brand — belongs to LBD Studio and may not be copied or reused.
- Ownership of the deliverables we create for you is governed by your separate project agreement, not by these portal terms.
6. Confidentiality
Project information, timelines, deliverables and communications visible in the portal are confidential. Please don’t share, screenshot or distribute them with any third party unless we’ve expressly agreed. We treat your information with the same care — see our privacy policy.
7. Availability, files and backups
- The portal is provided “as is” and “as available”. We don’t guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time, and we may carry out maintenance.
- Files and deliveries aren’t permanent storage. Delivery (transfer) links expire — by default 30 days after they’re sent — and we may remove or archive content as part of normal housekeeping. Please keep your own copies of anything you need to retain.
8. Suspending or ending access
We may suspend or withdraw your access if you breach these terms or misuse the portal, or once a project ends. You can ask us to remove your access at any time.
9. Our liability
- Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that can’t be limited or excluded by law (including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).
- Otherwise, and to the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of data or files where you haven’t kept your own copies, or for matters outside our reasonable control.
- The portal is provided to support our work together; it isn’t sold to you as a standalone product, and these terms don’t create any warranty beyond what the law requires.
10. Privacy
How we handle personal information (including the email and IP data we use to keep your access secure) is set out in our Privacy policy.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We’ll update the “last updated” date, and your continued use of the portal after a change means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
The law of Scotland governs these terms, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
